In the winter of 2023 I took my nice reliable 1991 Mazda Miata and made it remarkably less reliable with the installation of a turbo kit. Having always desired more than the 98HP from the stock motor, boost was the only answer. After a lot of tinkering and learning how to tune with a Megasquirt ECU, I got the car running fairly good on 10lb of boost which gave it the pep I was longing for. After two years of top-down fun, I decided to trade it for an even less reliable 2004 Subaru WRX…. a regrettable mistake.
